Zanatik is, first and foremost, a restaurant. Set on Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise, we bring together modern Australian cooking, genuine hospitality and the relaxed rhythm of a Gold Coast evening. Everything else the venue offers grows out of that simple idea: a good meal, shared well, in good company.
Our Concept
We wanted to create a place that feels premium without being formal — somewhere you can arrive for an early dinner, a long lunch that drifts into the evening, or a celebration that fills the room. The food leads, the service is warm, and guests are free to enjoy the restaurant entirely on its own terms.
Our Dining Philosophy
We cook seasonally and source locally wherever we can. Menus change with what’s fresh and at its best, and we favour honest flavours over fuss. Many of our plates are designed for sharing, encouraging the kind of relaxed, sociable meal the Gold Coast does so well.
The Cuisine
Our kitchen draws on modern Australian traditions and the abundance of Queensland produce — seafood from our coastline, quality local meats, and vegetables at their seasonal peak. You’ll find bright starters and small plates to begin, satisfying main courses, thoughtful vegetarian options and desserts made in-house.

Our drinks list is built to sit comfortably alongside the food. We pour signature and classic cocktails such as a bright Paradise Spritz, a proper Negroni and an Espresso Martini, plus a considered selection of regional Australian wine from the Margaret River, Barossa and Hunter Valley. There’s cold local and craft beer on offer, and for guests who aren’t drinking alcohol we make non-alcoholic cocktails, keep a range of soft drinks and pour freshly made coffee. Every table is looked after, whatever you’re in the mood for.
The Dining Experience
Zanatik really comes into its own after dark. As the room settles into the evening, the lighting softens and the pace eases — it’s the perfect setting for an unhurried dinner, a catch-up with friends or a quiet celebration.

Who Zanatik Is For
We welcome a broad mix of guests — couples, groups of friends, families dining early in the evening, visitors exploring Surfers Paradise and locals after a reliably good meal. You’re welcome to visit Zanatik purely to dine. Using the bar or the Casino Hall is entirely optional, and no guest is ever expected to do so.
